What kinds of reminders does the app support?

The product focuses on two layers:

  1. Medication timers: time between doses for “as needed” or interval-based medications (see Timers and doses). During illness, these timers are logged inside Care sessions on the Care tab. Optional stagger follow-up timers remind you when a second medicine is due on a schedule you already follow (see How do I stagger another medication?).
  2. Routine slots: planned times that appear on Today and can drive reminder notifications on supported devices. Routines support Daily (default), Weekly, Monthly, Hourly, Custom (every N days/weeks/months or every X hours), and After another medication when the follow-up should wait until the anchor dose is logged. See Where do I set routine times? and How do I set a routine after another medication?

Weekly, monthly, and custom schedules are respected when reminders are built (including First due for monthly and custom). Family Care also offers twice-daily and three-times-daily Quick setup presets that create separate daily slots.

Health reading reminders on mobile can use Daily, Weekly, Monthly, or Custom cadences (see Health reading reminders).

You can also mark a medicine as running low on free or Family Care (web and mobile) so it shows a cue until cleared. That is not inventory tracking. With Family Care on mobile, flagged medicines (and optional free-text pick-up lines) feed a shared To pick up list and a daily buy reminder digest. Configure the digest time under Settings → Notifications. See How do I mark a medicine as running low? and What are medication buy reminders?
