Not every medicine fits “every day at 8:00.” Some households run an injection every two weeks. Others need the 15th of each month. Some need breakfast and dinner slots without building three screens by hand. And when you do a weekly reading a day early, you do not want the reminder nagging you again tomorrow.
2.6.2 widens dose routines and scheduled health readings so those shapes live in the product, not in sticky notes. Add Monthly and Custom (every N days, weeks, or months, or every X hours). Set First due so you can configure the schedule before the day it starts. Use Quick setup for twice or three times daily on Family Care. When you log early inside a fixed window, the app can ask Count as due or Keep due, with no extra settings to learn.

Flexible dose routines
When you add or edit a routine under Family, At a time now offers:
- Daily (default)
- Weekly
- Monthly
- Hourly
- Custom
Custom is where every-N and every-X-hours controls appear (for example every 2 weeks, or every 8 hours as an ongoing clock plan). Monthly and Custom include First due so the schedule can count forward from a day you choose, including when you set the routine up ahead of time. End-of-month dates clamp safely on shorter months.
After another medication remains available for relative follow-ups that wait until the anchor dose is logged (shipped in 2.6.1).
Quick setup (twice / three times daily)
On Family Care, create flows show a Quick setup card with Twice daily and Three times daily. Each preset builds separate daily routines at meal times so every slot keeps its own reminder and Taken state on Today. Review the pending list, then save. Clear restores a single schedule if you change your mind.
Free accounts can still add each daily slot manually. Slot caps on free still apply (routines and enabled health readings share the per-member and household limits). Price for Family Care is shown in-store for your region.
Subscribers see the Quick setup card without a Family Care chip. Free accounts get a clear subscribe CTA on that card when presets need Family Care.
Early-log Count as due
If you log a weekly, monthly, or custom-interval dose or reading a little early, Medication Timer may ask:
- Count as due: treat this log as the upcoming occurrence so the next nag does not fire
- Keep due: leave the original due day as planned
There is no settings screen for early windows. Fixed product windows apply (about two days early for weekly, about five for monthly, scaled for custom intervals). Daily stays same-day only. Hourly clocks, every-X-hours custom clocks, and as-needed timers are outside this prompt.

Scheduled health readings
Health readings (INR, blood pressure, and similar) can use Daily, Weekly, Monthly, or Custom reminders, with First due for Monthly and Custom. Looking ahead on Today shows readings that are due on that future day. Family member cards summarise the cadence correctly (for example Every 2 weeks), not as a false Daily label.
Clearer Care empty state
When nobody is in Care, the empty state lists each family member with a Start action, instead of defaulting to the first profile only. Below the list, Care highlights temperatures and symptoms, as-needed medications, and short medication courses (Family Care), with Read more about Care for the full feature story.
