Families using Medication Timer have now logged 40,000+ health entries: doses, temperatures, and readings that keep a household’s “who got what, and when” picture honest. That’s across 1,500+ families.
When we shared 35,000+, it already felt unreal. Crossing 40,000 feels the same, only louder. Each tap is someone choosing an informed decision over a guess at 2 a.m., on a school morning, or in the middle of a stomach bug. I believe that Medication Timer can help families, just like my own, and I’m genuinely grateful you’re here.
Thank you. If you’ve logged a dose, a temperature, a wellness check-in, or a reading for someone you look after: that entry is why this milestone exists. If you’ve left a review, told a co-parent, or sent the link to a grandparent who helps on Thursdays: that matters more than you might think when you’re doing this solo.
Keeping the commitment
Medication Timer started because our house needed a trustworthy picture: as-needed fever medicines next to everyday high-stakes routines, more than one adult on duty, kids and adults in the same place. That need hasn’t gone away. It has only gotten clearer as more households have trusted us with their nights.
My commitment is simple. I will keep developing Medication Timer into one of the most comprehensive, flexible medication management tools I can build, with a steady focus on helping families: co-parents, grandparents, caregivers, and anyone living with a health challenge who needs the same honest log.
Comprehensive means sick-night Care and everyday routines can live together. Flexible means real clinician plans (staggered medicines, monthly and every-two-weeks shapes, “I logged early, don’t nag me tomorrow”) instead of pretending every household runs at 8:00 sharp. Family-first means glanceable countdowns when your hands are full, shared coordination when more than one adult is on duty, and optional depth on Family Care when you need reports, growth charts, wellness readings, or a shared To pick up list. Unlimited people and medicines stay free to start.
Since June that commitment has shown up as Care notes and wellness check-ins, widgets and Apple Watch integrations so you’re not hunting for the app, Family or Simple layouts, running-low reminders, and routines that bend toward how care actually works. None of that is a finish line. It’s proof we’ll keep listening to the gaps that appear once a household depends on the log.
What’s next
Two things are currently in progress and in testing;
Travel. An experimental mode for long-haul, time-critical medicines: put the trip in, sit with your GP or pharmacist, look at how the clocks jump, agree extras or skips with them, and save it for that trip only.
NFC tags. We’re adding the ability to program NFC tags/coins from Medication Timer for the jobs you repeat: see that medicine’s details, mark a scheduled dose taken, log an as-needed dose, start a quick timer, clear overdue routines. Stick one on a pack. Hold the phone to it. Confirm. Same honest log but easier to manage, especially for people who have health challenges. I’m testing this now.
If 40,000+ entries taught me anything, it’s that families don’t need another loud reminder app. They need a calm, shared picture that keeps earning trust. That’s what I’ll keep building toward.
Thank you again for every tap that got us here.
