Buy reminders are a Family Care mobile feature. When medicines (or other pick-up lines) are marked running low, Medication Timer can send one daily digest titled To pick up at a time you choose, until someone clears the list.
This is not stock tracking. The app never counts tablets or days of supply. Marking a medicine running low itself is available on the free plan (web and mobile); the daily digest and shared To pick up list need Family Care on iPhone or Android. Web does not send buy-reminder pushes.
How to turn them on
- Mark one or more medicines running low (swipe Low, or use the toggle when editing a medicine / timer).
- Open Settings → Notifications.
- Turn Buy reminders on and set Remind at (default 9:00 local).
- Optionally open View to pick up list to review items, tick them while you shop, add free-text OTC lines, or Complete shopping.
Notification actions
When the digest arrives you can:
- Bought more: clears the items in that digest for the household
- Remind tomorrow: snoozes the digest for a day
- Open: opens the To pick up list
Quiet hours still apply. Dose and timer alerts are unchanged; buy reminders are a separate category.
