For some schedules, Medication Timer can treat an early log as the upcoming due occurrence so the next reminder does not fire. There is no setup screen for this. When you log inside the early window, the app may ask whether to count it as due or keep the original due day.
Applies to weekly, monthly, and custom interval dose routines and matching health reading cadences. Daily stays same-day only (no early-period prompt).
Typical early windows (fixed in the product, not configurable per routine):

Count as due satisfies the next scheduled occurrence (so that due day is treated as done). Keep due leaves the upcoming slot on the calendar as planned.
Hourly routines, every-X-hours custom clocks, and as-needed timers are not covered by this early-period prompt. Relative “after another medication” follow-ups still wait on the anchor being logged.
