Health reading reminders (INR, blood pressure, etc.)

If you use health readings (sometimes grouped with vitals or trends), the mobile app can schedule reminders that open Today so you remember to log readings. Like medication reminders, these are mobile notifications, not browser push notifications.

Configure reminders when you enable a reading for a family member under Family (or when editing that reading). Reminder cadence options:

  • Daily, Weekly (chosen weekdays), Monthly, or Custom (every N days, weeks, or months)
  • A clock time for the reminder
  • First due for Monthly and Custom, so you can set the schedule up before the first due day

There is no hourly cadence for readings. On Today, looking ahead on the date strip shows readings that are due on that future day.

If you log a weekly, monthly, or custom-interval reading a little early, the app may ask whether to count it as due for the upcoming slot or keep the original due day so the next reminder does not fire unnecessarily. There is no setup UI for the early window. See What happens if I log a dose or reading early?

Enable the reading and turn on the reminder for notifications to fire. Targets and trends are separate from the reminder schedule. On Family Care, if another caregiver logs or skips that reading, this phone best-effort clears the matching reminder (same limits as shared dose reminders: iOS may delay silent wakes; open the app to sync). See Do shared reminders clear when someone else logs a dose?

See also Where do I set routine times? for the matching language used on dose routines.
