Next up is the card at the top of an active care session (and a similar banner on Today when someone is in care). It surfaces the most urgent action for the person you are caring for, such as:
- An overdue course dose or the next scheduled antibiotic/antiviral dose (Family Care).
- A temperature reading that is due based on your reminder interval.
- An as-needed medication that is ready to give again, or a timer still counting down.
Tap the action on the card when offered—for example Log temperature, Administer dose, or Mark taken for a course dose. When several course doses are overdue, Next up may point you to the medication course section instead.
Care tab badges and member chips use the same urgency signals so another caregiver in the household can see when someone needs attention.
Snooze
When Next up shows something due, tap Snooze to defer it for 10 minutes. A snoozed card shows a countdown and lets you clear the snooze when you are ready. Snooze applies in the app on Care and Today—it is separate from Snooze on a lock-screen notification, though both use a similar short delay.
The same unified priority logic powers the Next Up home screen widget on iPhone and Android (see Widgets and glanceables).
